• Computer Animation: Learn how to create your own cartoon. Students will learn to produce computer animations from two and three dimensional cartoon sequences. From learning the basics of drawing for animation to the basics of programming, these programs will peak their interest in art animation.

 

• Digital Photography: Today’s Teens are so tech-savvy and typically own the latest and coolest gadgets- including digital cameras. Students will go from knowing how to point-and-shoot beginner style to a professional digital photographer. They now only gain insight into understanding a digital camera and composing high quality photos, but also learn the latest tips on downloading and sharing photos online, and creating their very own photo book.

 

• Become a fashonista w/ E-Textiles: Remix fashion design with technology! Girls will learn how to create smart clothing, wearable technology using e-textiles. With e-textiles emphasis is placed on the integrating textiles with electronic elements such as microcontrollers, sensors, and actuators.

 

• App Inventor for Android: Have you ever dreamed of creating your own app? By offering a Course-In-A-Box. With no prior experience girls can learn to build apps within hours.

 

• All Girls Robotic Team: Robotics Design using Lego Mindstorms EV3 software

 

• Leadership Boot Camp: Teams will be formed to create a business plan to present to Entrepreneurs in the industry to create innovative concepts. From this students must come up with a model and simulate a real world problem.  Work from conception through the life cycle process. This will help build self-confidence and promote critical thinking skills.

 

• Job Shadowing For A Day: A day (or part of a day) spent observing a professional as she  goes about  her job. It's a great opportunity to learn more about a career and a chance to practice interacting with adults on a professional level.

 

• Cyber-Bullying & Internet Safety: Learn skills to recognize how electronic devices and equipment such as cell phones, computers, and tablets as well as communication tools including social media sites, text messages, chat, and websites are used to do harm, and how to safely surf the internet.
